- अगर फेसबुक वॉल पर आपको कोई मैसेज ऐसा दिखाई दे जिस पर आपको संदेह हो तो उस मैसेज को रिपोर्ट एब्यूस पर क्लिक कर दीजिए।
- फेसबुक एप्लीकेशन यूज करने से पहले यह देख लें कि एप्लीकेशन आपकी प्रोफाइल की कौन-कौन सी जानकारी मॉग रहा है, हैकर्स के लिये कोई भी एप्लीकेशन बनाकर आपकी व्यक्तिगत जानकारी प्राप्त करना बहुत आसान है, इसलिये जरा संभल ही एप्लीकेशन का यूज करें।
- यदि कोई व्यक्ति फेसबुक पर आपकी व्यक्तिगत जानकारी मॉगता है, तो कभी-भी भूलकर यह जानकारी उसे ना दें।
- अनजान फेसबुक फ्रेंड रिक्वेस्ट को स्वीकार करने से बचें।
- जब आप फेसबुक पर अपना status updates करते है, जिसमें आप फोटो, वीडियो आदि अपलोड भी करते हैं तो इस बात का ध्यान रखे कि इसे कौन-कौन देख सकता है।
हमेशा कीजिये अपने Facebook account को लॉग ऑफ

Active Sessions चैक कीजिये
पिछली बार आपने कब और कहॉ अपना Facebook account खोला था, इसकी जानकारी यहॉ मिलती है, साथ ही किसी किसी ब्राउजर और किस आपरेटिंग सिस्टम में इस प्रयोग किया गया था, इसके साथ-साथ उस कम्प्यूटर का आई0पी0 एड्रेस भी मालूम हो जाता है, जिस इसे प्रयोग किया था। इसके लिये account settings >> Security settings>> Active Sessions पर जाईये।
अपने फेसबुक डाटा का तुरंत बैकअप लीजिये
यदि आप अपने फेसबुक डाटा का बैकअप रखना चाहते हैं तो account settings >> general >> Download a copy पर जाइये, इससे आप अपने समस्त फेसबुक डाटा का बैकअप अपने कम्प्यूटर में ले सकते है।
